Whether your home is damaged by a natural disaster such as a flood, hurricane, tornado, earthquake or hailstorm, or devastated by household disasters like fire, water main breaks, fallen trees or gas leaks, DMP can cover your mortgage payments and insurance deductible for just pennies a day.

Core Product Description *

Pays your mortgage for up to two years, including taxes and escrow.

If your home becomes uninhabitable for more than 48 hours because of a covered loss, your monthly mortgage payments will be reimbursed until your home is rebuilt, or you are able to live in it again, for up to a maximum of 2 years. And, we even pay the taxes and escrow that are included with your mortgage payment. You just need to begin and continue repair, restoration, or reconstruction work within 90 days from the date of your loss to ensure that your benefits continue.

Reimburses your deductible – up to $500 – on your primary property
insurance policy.

DMP will reimburse your deductible for a covered loss if there is damage to the structure of your home and your home becomes temporarily uninhabitable for more than 48 hours.

Helps pay the balance of your mortgage if your home is permanently uninhabitable.

DMP will pay up to $250,000 or your current balance, whichever is less, should your home become permanently uninhabitable as a result of condemnation or movement of land on which your property exists.

DMP PlusSM Endorsement Description

Enhance the core coverage by selecting the DMP Plus endorsement. For a few dollars more, the following coverages are provided:

Monthly emergency cash to be used towards any expenses you may incur.

If you are temporarily displaced from your home, a monthly emergency cash amount of $1000 will be paid to you for up to 2 years, or until you’re able to live in your home again. You also have the option of selecting a lower level of emergency cash.

A second deductible reimbursement – up to $500 – for content losses.

Coverage under the policy is expanded to reimburse you for the deductible on your homeowner policy – up to $500 – when you receive payment from your primary homeowner policy for a covered contents loss when your home becomes temporarily uninhabitable for more than 48 hours.

Accidental lock-out of your house is covered.

In those unfortunate situations when you accidentally lock yourself out of your house we will reimburse you up to $50 towards the services of a locksmith (up to two claims per year).

Limits and Exclusions

ACE Disaster Mortgage Protection covers losses due to sudden and accidental incidents, but does not cover certain losses, including those caused by:
War
Events affecting or causing allergies
Constant or intermittent noise
Pollution/Contamination
Normal wear and tear and/or deterioration
Settling, shrinking, bulging, or expansion
Seizure, destruction or confiscation by any governmental or public authority
Neglect
Vandalism (if residence is vacant for more than 60 days)
Interruption of power from off-premises source
Riot
Pre-existing conditions
Intentional loss
Faulty, inadequate or defective work or repairs

This insurance provides no coverage for manufactured or mobile homes. Coverage applies to primary residences only.

ACE Disaster Mortgage ProtectionSM insurance is not available in the following states:
Alaska
Connecticut
South Dakota

DMP Plus is not available in Arizona, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
